I compose Barrio Gótico letter by letter around the neighbourhood's medieval streets, reinterpreting its identity as an author's print. Every stroke dialogues with the city's wider geography, weaving place and typography into a single piece — a map that reads the way the neighbourhood is walked, street by street.

Inseparable — Confident, steady letterforms hold their ground around Plaça Reial, the arcaded square at the quarter's edge. Bold pink and turquoise, the most legible reading of the four.

Ultralight — Barely-there strokes hover above the page, all restraint and air: the lightest possible reading of Barrio Gótico.

Unruled — Letters break loose and scatter across the composition, a wilful departure from the conventional map. Warm, dynamic orange.

Extra Compressed — Letters pull in tight through El Call, the old Jewish quarter's narrowest lanes. Steel blue-grey, the most condensed of the four.
