Q&A

Ordering and Shipping

Why do I have two items in my cart for each artwork ordered?

Our inventory and printing ordering system requires us to separate the base price, which is the rolled DIN-A3 size, from the rest of the extras such as larger sizes, personalization or/and framing.

The sum of the base price plus extras is the price you are going to pay for each artwork and which coincides with the price you had on the page for each one.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes, we offer free shipping worldwide on both rolled and framed prints!

How long will it take to receive my order?

This depends on whether you choose rolled or framed prints:

  • Rolled Prints:
  • Production Time: 1-2 Business Days
  • Shipping Time: 4-6 Business Days
  • Framed Prints:
  • Production Time: 2-4 Business Days
  • Shipping Time: 4-6 Business Days

Do you ship to my country?

We offer free shipping to the EU, UK, Canada and USA. For other countries, please contact us at info@letramap.com for a shipping quote.

How can I find out if my order will be subject to customs duties?

For orders shipped within the EU, UK, USA, and Canada, you should not encounter any additional customs charges as we handle both printing and shipping within these regions.

For other destinations, your order may be subject to additional charges such as sales tax, customs & duty charges. Please note that these charges are typically only applicable to framed prints. Rolled prints are often considered pieces of art in many countries and may not be subject to customs duties.

However, it's always a good idea to check your local customs regulations for any specific requirements or potential fees.

What's the difference between rolled and framed prints?

Rolled prints arrive safely packaged for you to choose your own frame. Framed prints come pre-framed in our secure packaging, ready to hang on your wall.

How do you ensure safe shipping for framed prints?

We take great care to package your prints securely for safe transportation.Framed prints are carefully packed in rigid, corrugated cardboard boxes made from recycled materials. These boxes provide robust protection against damage during shipping.Rolled prints are shipped in rigid spiral-wound cardboard tubes to maintain their shape and prevent creases. We also use high-quality protective materials to cushion the prints and minimize the risk of damage during transit.

Are there any precautions I should take when unboxing rolled prints?

Caution! We strongly advise against re-rolling prints received in cardboard tubes without the assistance of a de-roller. The paper is naturally grained to facilitate printing on the outer side. Attempting to re-roll it in the opposite direction can cause cracks or damage to the print. For optimal handling and preservation, please use a de-roller or carefully lay the print flat on a clean surface.

Prints and Framing

What is Giclée printing and what makes it special?

Giclée printing is a high-quality art printing process that uses archival inks to create wonderful reproductions of original works of art. While digital printing uses the classic combination of 4 CMYK colors, Giclée printers use up to 12 individual colors. This provides much smoother gradient transitions and a wider color gamut, achieving greater color richness and greater visual depth.

Where Giclée printing really shines is in the production of wall art, where customers want the highest quality and durability. The type of water-based archival inks used in Giclée printers do not fade when displayed under normal indoor conditions; This ensures that your prints will retain their brilliance for years to come, making them a valuable investment.

What kind of ink do you use?

We use premium branded water-based inks to create high-quality Giclée reproductions that capture the vibrancy of the original designs. Water-based inks are known for their environmental friendliness, as they produce fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are generally considered safer for both printers and consumers.

What kind of paper do you use?

We use high-quality 200gsm Fine Art Paper for both our rolled and framed prints. This paper offers a smooth, clean surface that complements the vibrant colors of our Giclée prints. Together, the paper and printing process create museum-quality wall art that will last for generations. The matte finish of the paper enhances, even more, the solid colors of our designs.

What size are the prints?

We don't specify the size information here. Please check on each product page the dimensions that can be purchased for that item.

Where are your prints made?

Your orders are custom made at our printing partner's facilities located in the European Union, United Kingdom, Canada and United States. Each product is manually verified to ensure absolute quality.

Do you offer other print materials or sizes?

We're always open to exploring new possibilities. If you have a vision for an oversized print, we encourage you to get in touch. We can discuss various materials and sizing options to bring your idea to life. You can contact us at customer@letramap.com.

Sustainability

Is your printing process environmentally friendly?
