From time to time, my studio becomes a small gear in the machinery of film and television. I work closely with Art Directors, customizing specific pieces to dress the walls of major productions. On this occasion, Art Director Marta Blasco reached out to me for a special project: the Netflix series "The Crystal Cuckoo."
From the Alphabet to the Film Set
The brief was to create 4 prints featuring the first four letters of the alphabet, following my signature style where the city's initial takes center stage. The cities chosen for the letters A, B, and C were Almería, Barcelona, and Cáceres.
However, we faced a small challenge: at that time, I didn't have a city starting with the letter D in my collection. Since cinema is, after all, a wonderful illusion, we decided on a creative "workaround": we composed the D using the design from the A Coruña map. An invisible detail for the viewer, but a perfect artistic solution for the set.
